Installation Requirements
Competent Installation Required
General purpose doors must be installed by competent personnel in accordance with manufacturer specifications. We can provide installation with our experienced installation team.
Installation Standards
- Installation must comply with manufacturer's installation instructions and drawings.
- Door frames must be plumb, level, and securely fixed to the wall structure.
- Clearances between door leaf and frame must be within manufacturer's specified tolerances.
- All gaps between frame and structural opening must be filled and finished per manufacturer instructions.
- Hardware must be installed per manufacturer specifications.
- Door must close fully and latch from any open position.
Door Type Specific Requirements
- Solid Core Hinged: Frame must be securely fixed to wall structure. Hinges must be correctly aligned for smooth operation.
- Cavity Sliders: Wall cavity must have adequate depth for the door leaf and track system. Cavity framing must be rigid and plumb.
- Bi-Fold Doors: Top and bottom tracks must be level and securely fixed. Pivot points correctly aligned.
- Face Sliders: Track must be securely fixed to wall structure at the correct height. Adequate clearance for door travel.

Use Limitations
- External Doors: External doors must be specifically specified for external use with appropriate seals, finishes, and weatherproofing. Standard internal configurations are not suitable for exterior installation.
- Cavity Sliders: Require adequate wall cavity depth for the door leaf and track system. Verify cavity dimensions before specifying.
- Do Not Modify: Any modification to the door leaf or frame may void the warranty. Do not cut, plane, drill, or alter any component without consulting the manufacturer.
